A beautiful Sunny day a bit cool this morning it is about 27 deg. We received about 4″ of snow in the last day or so in the snow play areas.
Stop by Mountain Hardware 1390 hwy#2 Wrighwood Ca. 92397 and we can direct you to the best areas to play in the snow.
All roads (with the exception of Hwy 2 from La Canada) are open with NO RESTRICTIONS! Chains or 4×4 are NOT REQUIRED.

As if this time Cal Trans has tire chain required at the county line west of town. Also, Cal Trans has not open the gate at Big Pines to access the snow play areas on highway 2. We have 2-3″ of new new but at this time there is not alot of place to play until they open the gate. I will keep checking if the open the gate.
Tomorrow should be a very good day as the storm should be over and we HOPE that Cal Trans will open the gate.
I will keep this page updated.

Sorry for the late post. I was waiting to see if the weather was going to change today. So far nothing just high clouds. The weather service is calling for a stormy period starting sometime after midnight tonight and going off and on until about Thrusday of next week. Yahoo!!!!!! looks like winter is going to arrive. Check out the picture of the weather to come!!!!!
We currently have good snow play just stop by and we can give you the best locations currently. I wil post an update on the weather tomorrow morning.

Good Morning
Looks like a GREAT day. We received about 5″ of snow in the snow play areas Saturday nite early Sunday morning.
As of this morning all roads are open so come on up and have a GREAT day in the Mountains with the kids in fresh snow.

Highway 2 is now open without any controls up to Big Pines from the east.
N4 (to Jackson Lake) and Table Mountain road require tire chains.
It is going to be a bit crowed today because of Highway 2 closed at Big Pines. So if possible it would be a much better day to take the kids out of school and come tomorrow Monday. You will have the whole area to yourself.

Looks like a storm is coming latter today.
As of right now all road are open and NO controls. Currenty it is cloudy and about 30 degrees in the snow play areas.
Make sure you stop by Mountain Hardware 1390 highway 2 Wrightwood, Ca. 92397 we can let you know where the best conditions are.
I will up date these pages as the weather changes. Please always come ready for winter weather. Make sure you have tire chains that fit your car and know how to use them along with …a shovel and warm clothes.

Looks like a very nice day here in the Mountains. As you have seen in the pictures I have posted the pasted few day there is still some snow.
