Only play in the snow on Public lands, (stop to see us at Mountain Hardware and  we can provide you with a map and info where the best conditions are currently). Please respect private property and do not play there.   You will also need an Adventure Pass $5.00 per day or $30.00 for a year we can supply that for you. Please remember to always pick up and take home any trash as this will make it nicer for the next visitor.

I just returned from the snow play areas and the conditions are Great.  The weather is in the mid 40’s with a light wind and a light rain falling this morning.  The weather service says it should turn to light snow latter in the day

Today will be a GREAT day

All main roads to Wrightwood are open today yahoo.

Lots of new snow 16-24″ in the snow play areas

NO chain required lots of new snow.

So get going early as the only problem I see today is that everybody will want to come play in the snow.  Do not forget Monday is also a holiday for a lot of people.  So if you sleep in today make a plan to get here in Wrightwood by 9 am on Monday and you will missed most of the traffic problems

Hope everyone made it through the storm safe

Best plan maybe to spend the day at home today and see if road conditions improve for Sunday.  As this is a 3 day weekend today is still only like a Friday yahoo!!!!!!

16-24″ new snow and more to come. Hwy 2 is now plowed however Hwy 138 and Lone Pine are both closed from the 15 due to mudslides. You may have trouble reaching the snow play areas this morning.

CHAINS OR 4X4 ARE REQURIED above 6,000 ft. Hwy 138 and Lone Pine Canyon are closed between the 15 and the 2. Expect Hwy 138 to reopen tomorrow. Please drive safely.

Good Windy Morning

We are in the path for a major Wind Rain Snow storm today according to the weather service.  I would not recommend comeing up today.  Lets see what this storm does and see what the conditions look like on Saturday or Sunday.

I just returned from the Snow Areas see the pictures I took this morning.  There is 1 to 2 feet of snow so there is plenty to have fun in.

We are receiving rain this morning.

I just checked the snow in the pay area and the snow still looks good but the weather conditions not good today.  Although I did see one family sledding with umbrellas.  It was a sight.
