Good Morning
Yes, we received snow in the snow play areas yesterday and last night 4-6″. It should be a very good snow play weekend.
At this time all roads are open with no control up to Big Pines. At Big Pines Highway 2 is closed just west of the junction it looked plowed so hope it will open later in the day. N4 and Table Mountain road both have chain controls at this time.

Happy Saint Patrick Day
The snow report for the Big Pines area.
Last night we received 1-2 inches of additional snow on top of the 4-6 inches we received on Wednesday. So it should be a good weekend for snow play.
There still are chain controls on highway west of Wrightwood.
The pictures below were taken this morning.

Always make sure you carry chains that fit your car and that you know how to install them. Only play in the snow on Public lands, (stop to see us at Mountain Hardware and  we can provide you with a map and info where the best conditions are currently). Please respect private property and do not play there.   You will also need an Adventure Pass $5.00 per day or $30.00 for a year we can supply that for you. Please remember to always pick up and take home any trash as this will make it nicer for the next visitor.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at Mountain Hardware 760-249-3653 Mon – Sat 8:30am-5:00pm and Sunday 8:30am-4:30pm. Or follow us on Facebook “Wrightwood Snowplay”. We are located at 1390 Hwy #2 in Wrightwood on the north side of the highway and have a large parking area and restrooms

Yes, we have snow for snowplay this weekend.  The only problem is that there will be lots of traffic.  So I suggest that you arrive I town by 9-9:30am at the latest.  This will help you to avoid a lot of the traffic.

This picture I took this morning.

We are getting light rain this morning.  There is very little snow for snowplay.  The weather service is calling for snow next week so best might be to wait and see what happens.  The picture below is one I took this morning.
