Great News
We have great snow for snow play the best in So. California. Caltrans re opened Hwy #2 on Tuesday of this week. This is the first time that I can remember that this section of the road (Vincent’s Gap to Islip Saddle) has been opened this time of year. This give great access to areas for snow play along the highway. Stop by the store and we can direct you to the correct areas. This road will be subject to closure if the weather changes.

Today is a beautiful day. Blue sky, light wind, high should be in the low 50’s. The roads are open with NO controls.
We have not had snow in about 2 weeks. Sso the snow is thin in the snow play areas. I went up to the snow play areas yesterday and there is still snow to play on and people are having lots of fun.
Stop by and we will get you a map on were the best snow is today.
Always make sure you carry chains that fit your car and that you know how to install them. Only play in the snow on Public lands, ( stop to see us at Mountain Hardware and we can provide you with a map and info where the best conditions are currently). Hope everybody is having a Great Holiday week
We have not had snow for about 2 weeks now. So the snow play has gotten very thin. But I was in the snow play areas yesterday and people are still having fun sledding and throwing snow ball so there is still some snow.
The good new is that the road are open and clear of snow the weather is great in the mid 40’s with blue sky and light wind.
The best sled right now with the thin snow conditions is the Heavy Duty saucer. This sled is made much stronger than any other and will take the abuse.
Always make sure you carry chains that fit your car and that you know how to install them. Only play in the snow on Public lands, ( stop to see us at Mountain Hardware and we can provide you with a map and info where the best conditions are currently). Another Great Day
It is a clear blue sky day with light wind with the temp. in the mid 40’s.
Even thought we have not had snow recently there still is areas for snow play. I was up there yesterday and everybody was having fun. Currently some of the best areas are on N4 the Appletree and Pevine campgrounds. Stop at the store and we can get you a map.
All road are open NO tire chains are required. So it will be an easy drive from anywhere in So Ca.

The temp is 29 this morning, the sky is blue (maybe 20% chance of snow this afternoon) and light winds. Also the roads are open with NO chain controls at this time. So today would be a great day to come on up and play in the snow before the big rush after Christmas.

Good Morning
We received 3-4 inches of snow yesterday. This morning there is a winter advisory thru 1pm per the national weather service. They are calling for an additional 4-5 inches of snow today.
The good new is we have snow for snow play. If you come up today make sure you are prepared for winter
Lookslike another great day for snow play in the Wrightwood area. Temps this morning are in the low 30’s with high clouds. There is a chance of snow in the afternoon also there will be high winds over the ridges. If you stay in the lower areas (where the best snow play is) the wind should be light.
Also the best news is the roads are open and clear NO tire chains needed at this time.
Also remember that Wrightwood is the only snow play area you can go to without driving winding mountain roads. So come on up!!!!
