If you are coming up today chains are required at this time so make sure you are prepared.

Always make sure you carry chains that fit your car and that you know how to install them. Only play in the snow on Public lands, (stop to see us at Mountain Hardware and we can provide you with a map and info where the best conditions are currently). Please respect private property and do not play there. You will also need an Adventure Pass $5.00 per day or $30.00 for a year we can supply that for you. Good morning.

As of this morning we did not receive any snow.  So for right now there is no snowplay here.  We hope to get so snow toward the end of the storm.  I will let you know when we do.  You are always welcome to call for info 760-249-3653

Good Morning

We received 1-2″ of snow in the snow play areas last night.  Still not enough for sledding or skiing.  But it would be a great day for a drive and a picnic in the mountains.  The road are still a bit wet and maybe icy in some spots but should not be a problem.

So come on up and enjoy your beautiful National Forest.

We received 5-7″ of snow yesterday.  Today has dawned clear with blue sky with a bit of a breeze.  The roads are open with no tire chain controls.  So grab the kids and come on up to a great day in the mountains with NEW snow.

A Blue Sky day

We do have some snow play.  The snow is a bit old as we have not received snow in about 10 days.  I was up in the snow play areas yesterday and people were still finding snow to have fun.  The weather is great with high temps in the upper 40’s, blue sky and light wind.  Roads are open with no controls.  So today would be a great day to come to the mountains and spend a fun day with you family enjoying your National Forest.

GREAT NEWS  NEW SNOW FOR SNOWPLAY!!!!!!

I have just returned from the snowplay areas.  Conditions look great maybe the is best this season.  We received 8-10″ of new snow on Wed. of this week.  All road are open and NO tire chains are needed. The sky is bright blue with light wind and temps in the mid 40’s.  So this will be a great weekend to bring the family up to play in the snow.

Another beautiful day

Fresh snow in the mountain this week 8-10″.  Roads in the Wrightwood area are open with no chain controls.  This morning is a blue sky, cool temps about 25 this is what is keeping the snow in GREAT condition.
