A beautiful day today

The temp is 29  this morning, the sky is blue (maybe 20% chance of snow this afternoon) and light winds.  Also the roads are open with NO chain controls at this time.  So today would be a great day to come on up and play in the snow before the big rush after Christmas.

Always make sure you carry chains that fit your car and that you know how to install them. Only play in the snow on Public lands, ( stop to see us at Mountain Hardware and we can provide you with a map and info where the best conditions are currently). Please respect private property and do not play there.   You will also need an Adventure Pass $5.00 per day or $30.00 for a year we can supply that for you. Please remember to always pick up and take home any trash as this will make it nicer for the next visitor.

Good Morning

We received 3-4 inches of snow yesterday.  This morning there is a winter advisory thru 1pm per the national weather service.  They are calling for an additional 4-5 inches of snow today.

The good new is we have snow for snow play.  If you come up today make sure you are prepared for winter

Lookslike another great day for snow play in the Wrightwood area.  Temps this morning are in the low 30’s with high clouds.  There is a chance of snow in the afternoon also there will be high winds over the ridges.  If you stay in the lower areas (where the best snow play is) the wind should be light.

Also the best news is the roads are open and clear NO tire chains needed at this time.

Also remember that Wrightwood is the only snow play area you can go to without driving winding mountain roads.  So come on up!!!!

Another Great Day

The snow play area are in good conditions.  I was in the areas yesterday.

This morning the temp. i s about 29 deg with light wind and blue sky.

The road are OPEN with NO chain controls.  So today would be a great day to come up and play in the snow.

We received 6-8 inches of snow in the snow play areas yesterday and overnight with lite snow fall this morning.  So snow play should be good today.  It is very Christmas like with the trees covered with new snow.

On Hwy 2 and N4 there are restrictions CHAIN REQUIRED OR FOUR WHEEL DRIVE.  So at this time make sure you have chains or 4×4 if you are coming up.

Looks Like Another Great Day

The weather is great with temps currently in the mid 40’s, blue sky and only a light wind.  The snow in the snow play areas is 4-5 inches.  I was up there yesterday and the conditions look good.  There were lots for people playing in the snow yesterday.  So come on  up and have a great day with your family in the mountains.
