A Blue Sky day

We do have some snow play.  The snow is a bit old as we have not received snow in about 10 days.  I was up in the snow play areas yesterday and people were still finding snow to have fun.  The weather is great with high temps in the upper 40’s, blue sky and light wind.  Roads are open with no controls.  So today would be a great day to come to the mountains and spend a fun day with you family enjoying your National Forest.

Always make sure you carry chains that fit your car and that you know how to install them. Only play in the snow on Public lands, ( stop to see us at Mountain Hardware and we can provide you with a map and info where the best conditions are currently). Please respect private property and do not play there.   You will also need an Adventure Pass $5.00 per day or $30.00 for a year we can supply that for you. Please remember to always pick up and take home any trash as this will make it nicer for the next visitor.

This will be the BEST Snowplay Day of the Year!!!!!!

In the snow play areas we have received 20″ of snow this past week.  This morning the sky is blue, lite wind and the temp. is in the mid 40 as of this morning.

Roads to the snowplay areas are open and NO chain controls.

So today is the day to come on up.

Winter In April

This week we have received 16-20+” of snow in hte snow play area.  This should make the conditions the BEST of this year.

Today we have high over cast with some blue sky temp is about mid 20’s in the snow play areas.  So come on up it will be a GREAT weekend!

It is snowing today

We are having winter in April.  On Wednesday we received about 4″ snow play areas.

This morning it is snowing again.  The weather service is calling for 5-10″ of snow to night.  With the clear and sunning tomarrow.

So this maybe the last weeekend for snow play and the conditions are GREAT!!!!!

Yes we still have SNOW.

I took a drive this morning and found some place that we stil jave snow for snow play.  There is still lots of snow in the higher elevation but not much near the road way.  But I did find a couple of areas where you will have a good time near the road way.

Store hours this weekend are Sat. 8:30am-5:30pm  and Sunday 10am-2pm Easter

The weather is a bit cool about mid 40’s with 5-10mph wind and blues sky.

Stop by the store and we will get you the info to find these areas.

NEW SNOW 12-14” 

Great news we just received another 12-14″ of snow over night.

Conditions are GREAT!!!!!

I just drove up to the snow play areas this morning.  It looks great, the best condition we have had this year.  15-20″ of new snow.  Blue sky lite wind and lots of parking.  So come and get it.  The road are open and clear NO TIRE CHAINS NEEDED

IT SNOWED

We received 16-18″ in the snow play areas west of of Big Pines.  The snow is a very light snow almost like a Utah snow.  So with the snow so light still watch out for stuff under the snow.  This is great snow for makeing snow angles.

As of this morning the road still have chain control on then so if you are coming up please keep that in mind.  Alos it is cold this morning currently about 23 deg with

We are getting SNOW about 2-3″ in town.  the roads are a bit messy with chain required right now.  Per the weather service the storm is to go through Sunday.  It should give us good snow for snow play maybe the best this year!!!
