Yes we do have some snowplay.  This has not been a year of lots of snow but I drove up to the snowplay areas this morning and there still is some snow for playing in.  Stop by the store and we will get you a map.

Yes we still have snow for snow play.  Please stop by the store and we will get you a map so you know where to go.  I was out this morning checking the snow conditions.

It is a bit windy and in the mid 20’s so it is very winter like.

Always make sure you carry chains that fit your car and that you know how to install them. Only play in the snow on Public lands, ( stop to see us at Mountain Hardware and we can provide you with a map and info where the best conditions are currently). Please respect private property and do not play there.   You will also need an Adventure Pass $5.00 per day or $30.00 for a year we can supply that for you. Please remember to always pick up and take home any trash as this will make it nicer for the next visitor.

Come On Up!!!!!!

It should be a great day in the mountains.  We have 3-5 inches of snow in the snow play areas.  The last snow we received was last Sunday so the conditions are some of the best this season.  The weather is good.  Blue sky, some wind and cool temps.  Stop by and we can get you a map of the snow play areas.

We have snow

We received 4-5 inches in snow play areas this week.  So the conditions are good.  The road are open with NO controls.  So come on up this weekend.  Stop by and we will get you the latest info and a map on the snow play areas.

Great News

We received 4-6″ of snow yesterday in the snow play areas.  Now the storm has passed.  Today should be blue sky with warming tempatures.  There are chain controls on this morning as of 4 am but I am sure these will be removed latter this morning.

I just came back from the snow play areas this morning and there still is snow for snow play.  Stop by the store and we can get you a map and a sheet with the mile markers to make it easier for you to find.

This morning we are getting rain.  There is NO chance of snow play today.  Let’s hope the temp. drops and turn to snow latter.

Great News

We have great snow for snow play the best in So. California.  Caltrans re opened Hwy #2 on Tuesday of this week.  This is the first time that I can remember that this section of the road (Vincent’s Gap to Islip Saddle) has been opened this time of year.  This give great access to areas for snow play along the highway.  Stop by the store and we can direct you to the correct areas.  This road will be subject to closure if the weather changes.

Sorry to all the snow players but there is no snow currently here in the Wrightwood/Big Pines area for snow play.  It has been over 3 weeks since have have received any snow and all that is gone.
